We interviewed the Principal Investigators (PIs) responsible for leading each of the CIVICs Centers as part of a two-part interview series. In the first part of each interview, we focused on learning a little bit more about the Center PIs, and in the second part, we asked each PI to introduce us to their Center.
In this article, we interviewed the Co-PI for the Sinai-Emory Multi-Institutional CIVIC (SEM CIVIC), Florian Krammer, PhD at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
What is one thing on your Bucket List?
I want to take a whole month off to hike in Mongolia and completely disconnect from the outside world.
What is your favorite thing to do around town?
I enjoy getting out of Brooklyn and taking fishing trips in the Atlantic.
Are you a morning person or a night person?
I am a morning person.
What was your childhood dream job?
I wanted to be a farmer, I definitely have a love for the outdoors.
